Seriously Considering Buying This
What do you guys think:

I have driven a 2003 (in 2003) and a 2006 MR (just a couple of weeks ago at So Coast Mitsu in CA).
Black, low miles and looks super clean. Has reciepts for oil changes (2 of them).
Mitsu Dealer locally says the VIN # shows no warranty work, except initial prep when new.
Salesman says it was traded in by middle aged couple on Porsche Cayman.
Mechanic at Porsche dealer says there is 5mm of tread depth left. Tire rack says there is 7.2mm when new, which means at 12K miles it was driven really easy or this is second set of tires and was driven hard.
I'm flying to Atlanta (for trade show) and plan on driving this car back with some detours through the TN mountains for fun.
Anybody seen this car or know it's history?
This will be my daily driver and see quite a bit of hwy. miles.
I plan on staying away from the mods except for things that improve gas mileage.
Is it good to just do data logging, get ECU updated and then reflash before warranty work?
Chris

Looks to be a nice example of an 2006 Evo MR, with the SSL package as it does have the red stiching on the seats. The Kelly Blue Book value is $31,995
hope this helps....low mileage, good deal...probably..get some sort of engine, drivetrain warranty...Evo;s sometimes can be driven very hard by their owners. At 50,000 maybe be better than 10,000....however; seemingly this looks to be good deal...

SSL??? lol SSL is gsr MR dont have sunroofs
I have agreed to the price $28,985 including $399 for dealer doc fees.
I searched and searched before agreeing to this and the price isn't the absolute best but better than many for what appears to be a very clean low mile 2006 fully loaded MR in the color I prefer without any modifications.
I do have to consider location and drive home distance. I live near Cincinnnati and we aren't exactly the hotbed of Evo's. This isn't like Orange Co. CA.
I appreciate the feedback please keep it coming.
How would I know if it stock clutch?

Id take it. I got my IX MR non SE version with 12k miles for about the same price. It was a hassle because they wanted 34K for it! I just got up and was about to leave and then thats when the price started dropping. Just make sure you drive it before saying il take it lol. The only way to check if it has a facotry clutch is either take out the tranny and check or drive someone elses Evo that has a stock clutch and compare the stiffness of the pedal unless theres some other way im missing.
