turbo louder after downpipe?

this weekend i had my downpipe and test pipe put on and afterwards i had what i thought was a exhaust leak. whenever i would rev you could hear a whisp of air flowing somewheres but after spraying all of the gaskets i found no bubbles showing exhaust leaks.
only place i couldnt check was where the 02 housing meets the downpipe but standing over the engine and reving you cant hear it so i doubt its there.

my question is: does the downpipe make the turbo more audible when spooling, even at idle and under 3k rpm?

i understand the more flow and what not but realy i dont feel like it would make it more louder, just better response and that kind of stuff.
any better ways to check for a exhaust leak other than the bubble trick

get under you car, and stuff like that, and you should here a little wistle or some kind of air blowing noise if there was. i parents 3500 dodge had a exhaust leak and it wistled loud enough to hear around the block, lol.

yeah he should if hes a tuner, lol. after i get my full exhaust, catback, HFC, downpipe and maybe 02 housing, im gonna prolly have a shop do it and tune it at the same time. it might cost alot but atleast when somthing sounds wrong i can take it back to them
