Take a look how long I have been a member. It is over 30 days and I am on here for almost an hour or more everyday mainly reading and searching where as if I had been posting I would have already had the ability to post in for sale threads.

I am not looking for a fight with the mods. I am hoping to help them in a way so they don't deal with the threads that are posted where they don't belong and the hassle of dealing with that crap.
That's hilarious you know...since when I came here looking for a car in April of 08, I PM'ed everyone instead of posting in their threads. Because you're serious about a car, why wouldn't you PM the seller? Why would you just post in their thread instead of asking them privately and getting an answer sooner. Like I say, you just sound like you're trying to cover up a way to sell stuff quicker. Want to buy? PM the seller!

But if you are joining the evom to justify a means, of selling in the marketplace then you came for the wrong reason. fortunately, this rule has withstand the test of time since 2001 and increasing it to 100 would be a good idea.

Once again please read the posts. I am not trying to sell anything!!!!

Jeez man. This is so absurd it is funny. I don't have anything to sell!

I am glad you bring it up about PM ing the seller. Guess what I have done that. So I ask how is this rule helping the sellers at all if I can still PM them? If I can PM them why can't I post in the thread? Either way the choice of whether or not to sell to me is still in the sellers hands.

I fail to see why you think you're the victim here or why you think you're being 'penalized' for following OUR rules.. You're asking for us to relax our rules so it will be easier for you to post in a WTB/FS thread. Those are your words above...It's no different than someone asking for an exception or special treatment. It is not going to happen, we've explained why. 90,000+ members respect our rules and abide by them every day. Your one case is not so exceptional that we feel a need to adjust our rules to suit your requirements

the PM works but if caught or reported by the other member, you will heavily penalized , worst banned permanently.

For real so you would be totally cool with this post in a section other than the newbies section.

In a way by following the rules I am not able to post in the F/S section. In this very thread there have been 2 people who suggested I don't abide by them just to build post count.

I did not know that. Aperently neither did another member who suggested I do just that. All this is doing is putting a roadblock between buyers and sellers.

oops, I didn't know this. But then again I only PM'ed people that were locally to me to buy my Evo (which I did from another member...locally in person of course) I guess this is something I didn't take into account for so my apologies on this

I can see this as an area where improvements can be made, as buying something from a member doesn't put as much (if any) risk on the member selling because 99.9% of the time paypal is involved and the buyer pays first. However, I still stand by my opinion on the post count and even increasing it would benefit the community in my opinion and if PMing is allowed that would be fine, no more complaints then.

And 2 Staff members who suggested otherwise......funny that you don't point that out.

I am not looking to go toe to toe with you in an internet fight here.

I thought there would be more concern over the posts made to boost post count because it is not counted in the newbie forum. I also thought there would be more concern over threads that belong in the newbie forum beaing started elsewhere because of them not counting in the newbie section.

No, you're dodging every point I have made and every observation by staff. It's obvious you cannot debate the 'merits' of your argument, you've made your mind up as to why EvoM is wrong in regards to your particular case and why you are right and we should change to suit your requirements. Was there anything else?
