Sounds like normal. When I had an sti I hit the rev limiter all of the time. The evo hits hard at 3500RPM, and does not reward you for revving high. It is not like a Mazdaspeed3 where you have to short shift for the best 1/4 mile time, but after the initial surge the torque definitely dwindles.

Quote: Also, did not have the restrictor pill in the line from the t to the turbo.
That would be your problem. That's very strange that it has the factory boost lines and no restrictor pill. As previously mentioned you can remove the factory boost line and install a mbc or replace the factory boost lines to resolve this.

I honestly think that the lines are not stock, from the T and up to wastegate and Turbo, looks like some random a$$ lines.

Does anyone happen to have the stock lines lying around? Is the Restrictor pill just in the one line? or are there more?

There are 2 restrictors, 1 is at the top by the solenoid and another down by the turbo but for your MBC you wont use either of them. Just remove the vacuum lines that are there and put your mbc in-between your turbo and wastegate. Make sure to connect the ports properly.
