Sold my last car (integra) cuz I finally found a ww mr. Put 7k down. I paid half and my parents paid the rest, total of 32k. 9 months after that my car was paid off. I'm 20 right now. I got the evo when I was 18. I'm a CSR at United Airlines.
Well, at 38, I've always had "sporty" cars (mazda RX-7, toyota MR2, honda delsol) nothing too exciting - all stock and N/A.
All through the 90's and early '00's I read all the car magazines, and kept an eye on the scene, but never really participated. Did get a set of cool wheels and tires for the DelSol, but that was it. Job stuff, buying a house, etc.. kept me from going too crazy.
When the EVO and STi came out in the states I was very interested. In '04 I got a killer deal on a '00 Subaru Impreza RS Coupe. Did the wheels & tires thing, but could not bring myself to do any more because it was still N/A.
Finally late '08 was the time to get what I've always wanted. Sold the Suby and got a 2006 Rally Red EVO IX MR. Finally something to mod!!
Lots of Buschur stuff -
Intake pipe and filter
Vband turboback with bullet muffler
Race FMIC w/upper & lower pipes
Solid front lower motor mount
Walbro 255
Forge MBC
Exedy twin disc
Shepherd built/cryo 5 speed trans.
Jester tune.
Would like to try coilovers for it, next.
This thing is amazing! - I actually laugh out loud, like a little school girl when I drive this thing. It is absolutely bonkers, as the brits would say. I LOVE it
It's not my daily driver, so it's tucked away in the garage till spring. I'll get some good pics then.

your gonna laugh when u hear this...i had a honda element....lol...it was a nice practical car...and i was 30 years old...i had plans to get an rsx type s after i got the element paid off but i test drove that and a civic si and was like ??? ...i mean those are great reliable cars but there is like hardly no more power than my element had so i was like no thanks...i mean why do you want a sports car?..for performance...and i never have liked american sports cars like the mustang or anything...i did drive my brothers 1984 nissan 300zx for a few years back in college...i liked the power to weight ratio it had...anyways my brother had a new 350z and i drove it a few times but it just didn't feel right to me...felt like i was sitting back too far or something....then a guy at work told me to try an evo....and i had noticed one out front at the car lot a few days before....so i figured...i'll just test drive it....and the rest is history...funnest car i've ever driven
