buying a evo X mr
buying a evo X mr
i never really looked, whats on the rear view mirror? does the car have an outside thermometer and avg. gas mileage indicator? just about every other car does. the interior is one thing that always turned me off about the car.
that's the only detail i didn't really know. thanks for the info, im just comparing the interior to my girl's '08 outback sport. never liked the evo's cheap *** interior minus the seats and steering column and gauge cluster. the evo 8 and 9 are just awful in my opinion.
meh, if you want nice interior, buy a luxury car, not an evo.

And yeah, you buy it for performance, but... still, there's a fine line. When the interior of your 30k car feels cheaper than a rental's... that's the line. And that's the 8 and 9. The G6 I had a while back as a rental was WAY nicer on the inside than even the 9 with SSL.
thanks everyone. driving my fiancee's outback sport is nice cause of the interior, thats one thing that made me want a new car. i want the paddle shifters plus the performance of the mr so i went with mitsubishi. will always miss my subie, but maybe ill forget about that once i autox the mr or take it to an HPDE. i can always buy a vroom box if i mish the boxer rumble too much, just kidding.
i have a bad habit of calling my wrx an sti, because almost everything in it is from an sti. the suspension however is completely different and there aren't very many evos that could match it on a road course. straight line that's a different story. i absolutely love my subie, but im having trouble with my legs (neurological spinal disorder) which forced me to buy an automatic. by the time im ready to get another car, subaru should be offering a dsg. i've always respected evos, but their ****ty interiors, weak drivetrains, girly inline engines, and douschy owners always made me love my subie more, maybe after owning this car ill feel a bit different. a car is a car and whatever is fast gets my vote...
i dont wanna dis evo owners but when a bunch them of showed up at this BBQ at world one in kent, wa, a lot of seemed like major assclowns to me. actually most other places in the nw too, like they have some kind of chip on their shoulder, nothing like subie owners. where owning a subie automatically comes with friends. id like to learn as much as i can about the evo X, everything before that gen doesn't really matter to me. i was not impressed at all by the evo 8 and 9, that buttery smooth inline engine, perfect for shopping and getting your nails done seems to me. but the dsg transmission, the only other car that has that and similar to the evo is either a bmw 335xi or a nissan gt-r. both of which way out of my price range. ill always miss my subie, now i belong to the dark side....

And the interior!
