I don't get why all the scared about nitrous discussion. A proper nitrous system that is set up right will work on any car..

But for the price and mileage, if nitrous was really used, you know for sure that the car has been to hell and back so there are better deals out there. Check Evos for sale in the privatesales forum. I'm 100% sure you can find a better deal out there.

 

I highly doubt that's what is throwing the code, the code could be something bad or it could be nothing just the ecu picking up and miss reading stuff and throwing a P0300 code. Like other people said get it run on the dealerships dime.

It is is nitreous and not an intercooler sprayer stay away, beat up evos add up $$ fast on repairs

well i just traded my 8 to a dealer for $14500 for a X. It had similar miles and some cosmetic imperfections and needed a third clutch as well ? i would check your self to see what code is being thrown with a scanner. you could talk them down to $10000 and get a new motor for the diff. . but the tranny in the 8's are weak and the stock clutchs do not last long. that would cost you an other 4-6k ( not real sure what a shepard tranny cost). Not to mention i sold my car because a new paint job ( a good one) would of cost me 4-6K.
So as it stands your in the dark with a repair bill at worst (motor, clutch tranny) maybe $15000 (maybe more) + $13000 ( cost of the car) = $28000!
i think for $28000 you could come close to a new X or a maybe a gem of an 8 or 9 ( think shop car ) making real power!
I would not buy it.
