New to the car scene

Hey I just got an 04 lancer ralliart that I plan to somewhat convert to an evo. But I was wondering if I wanted to learn about cars wut would be the best way to go about learning. Appreciate any help I can get. I'll post pics / specs for my car later.

Search around for local forums. Introduce yourself on them and become friendly with the people on their. Start going to meets, shows, and whatever other local events that are set up. You will start meeting and seeing a lot of the same people and eventually start hanging out with them or seeing them on a regular basis.

As far as converting your car to an evo, honestly your car will never become one or become close to one. My suggestion would be to do a few minor inexpensive mods, enjoy a reliable car, save the money on gas/insurance that you have over performance cars, and try to save as much money on the side until your ready to upgrade or pick up another car.
Good luck!

There's no point in trying to "convert" your '04 Ralliart into an Evo; it'll never get there. I'm not hating or anything, but there are just so many things that are different between the two models. It's not like turning an Integra GS-R into a Type-R, there is SO much more. Like the other poster said, just do a few things here and there to make your car fun. The money you invest into your car to convert it as close to an Evo as possible is going to be more money than just buying an Evo in the first place.

Unless he just wants an evo body kit and wing. Maybe the OP should describe his plans a little more

If it makes you happy, then go for it... but I'm just going to let you know that that would be a ricey thing to do... an expensive ricey thing.

I've got a 3 step method for you.

1. Get a job where you sit around an play on internet all night.
2. Get bored of watching **** at work.
3. Spend 8 hours a night on evom researching.

This is what I did for 2 years. I probably spent over 2000 hours reading about mitsubishi's over the last 4 to 5 years. Don't just limit yourself to Lancers. Research Eclipse/Galant 4g and 5g Mirage/Lancers also.

Note: Evo awd swap is very hard and may not be worth it. Evo Fwd is probably very much worth it.
