Replacing Wipers

Just took a look, figured it'd be a fairly easy and cheap mod to do - but does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of wipers I should buy (graphite or silicone - whichever is better) and if it would require me to buy a new motor (or could/should I keep the stock one on the mirage?)

I'm told Silicone are the best. Rally drivers (extreme conditions...) swear by them...I don't understand why you would have to change-out your wiper motor though...If it is fully functional, then it's fine...Good luck!

start with cheap ones, and if they don't clean the windshield well enough, try something better.

Yeah the motor is kinda stocky, and decides to take a hefty break when it goes to the side, but I can live with it, just thinking about it. Silicone it is then, do you have any suggestions as to where to buy from?

I'd rather just do it right the first time.

I have Bosch Icons and love em. I think Autozone has a deal on them right now.

^^ What he said

I have them on my car, they're cheaper than the Bosch Icon's by like 5 bucks? They work well on my car.

oh.....you mean the sale where the store marks up the price on the one item high enough so that they can offer the second item for free?

The thing I need to know is how to find out the wiper blade specs so I could buy them - does anyone know what the wiper arm type is (or how I could determine it) - and is the length something I can choose myself? Or is there a maximum length I can have?

I was thinking of using NAPA (nearby, good service) and CF wipers would go with the hood, so here are my choices so far:
