X or IX
Only the X MR has the paddle shifters! I believe the Value of the X will hold due to Mitsubishi not sending any to the US in 2009, and who know's maybe not in 2010 as well. We'll see. Mitsubishi not selling any in 07 helped to keep the value of the VIII/IX higher. Also not everyone has jumped on the X bandwagon yet. They need another Fast and Furious Movie featuring the X!!!!! LOL
LOL...true...true...but I'm still debating because the Evo X just came out so in another few months more people will be able to advise newbies like with more details about modding the X if I decided to go that way. But for right now I'm still stuck in between the X and IX. LOL

if you are new to the evo scene, it depends on what you like. the evo x is a safe choice because it is new, nice interiors, excellent first time engine, and lots of potential. if you already know about the evo from the get go and would like some help in choosing which, I would pick the IX since I am a purist evo fan. it really depends on what you like to use it for. either way, they are both evo's.
I was in the same boat as you are in right now. I couldn't choose either. After test driving it, I realized that i really wanted the ix instead of the x. The reason is because every time you gas it up just a little you'll hear the turbo spool. Every time you drive it, you'll feel like you're driving a mean race ready machine. I didn't choose the x because it was too quiet for me and a little bulky. I still love the x but i love the ix more.
My advice for you is to test drive the ix and the x. Let us know the outcome!
