It would really have no power with 8:1 compression on a 2 liter. Maybe 50 or 60 HP.
More than that... 14.7 lbs of boost would double the amount of air in the cylinder and thus equal about twice the amount of power an all engine route would go. Now there's some power losses since not everything is 100%, so probably at ~17 lbs of boost you're doubling the power of the engine. There is going to be power loss from the timing and fuel being so f'up with a ECU designed to run a turbo without one being there. I'd say 100-120.hp

I pretty sure running without a turbo wouldn't be an issue. Its not like the car runs in boost 100% of the time. It would just always be in vacuum. It would be slow as **** for sure.

I would be more concerned with what was done with the oil lines like said before.

The regular lancer with 9.5:1 compression makes 120 HP. I am a mechanical engineer, so I have taken thermodynamics, and I teach High school chemistry so I understand stoichiometry, but I also understand that the real world is often less predictable then your math would suggest.

To be fair the evo probably has a larger throttle body, but an engine designed to run boost would also probably struggle to expel all of the exhaust gasses before bringing in a fresh charge. I was just guessing. without really thinking about the number and I made it low for the joke of it. I honestly think it would be less than 100 HP, although it might be close, and it would probably make its maximum power at 7800 RPM

Dude the easiest way to know if Its a REAL Evo, is to lift the car and check out the rear, if the floor panel is cut, THEN ITS A LANCER WITH EVO PARTS..........Lancers are all FWD and in order to change it to AWD, the rear floor panel must be cut to fit in the differential.....

There are TONS of these Evo wanna be's here in the middle east, and you can spot them from a mile away...

Dude, a evo without a turbo won't even function right. The engine is setup for boost, that car will be boging all the way.

I think this would be a cool experiment! If this car is for real, take it to a dyno. I thought about this last night too. I'm really curious. Having a turbo is actually a drag since it interferes with the exhaust flow. So many variables to consider...I'd really like to see this thing's dyno chart,

I wouldnt waste my money having this thing dyno'd.... save it for a down payment or parts on a different vehicle and steer clear of this pos.... after posting pics of course

i think the op may have decided to forget it....would love to see pics, along with everyone else here...intriguing to say the least.
either:
1) hes an idiot and wasted to much money to do something counterproductive
2) he really messed around with this car and you should steer clear bc something else is prob screwed up.
3) its an over-priced evo conversion
4) your not thinking hard enough bc you should NOT buy this car.

gl with w/e you end up doing!
