A super educated comment. viii's and ix's are NOT auto-x cappable? Its time to take a deep breath, step off the short bus, and repost something that makes sense.

+1

I always find posts like these very amusing and usually I wouldn't bother with a retort, but I'm waiting for something at work and I'm bored so.... to keep it short, I will give you the benefit of the doubt Mr. Bradze; please provide some tangible evidence to you statement. Hell maybe you know something I don't. Maybe it's my imagination that a hand full of Evo 8's and 9's are constentaly dominating the top of the WDCR and AXI.

To the OP, that is definitely a nice car! You have her set up real tastefully My bro Chris has wanted your exact car (model and color) for as long as I can remember. He's rolling in something else now and is happy with it.

Auto Xing is easier for suby's becuase you don't need high HP, for that event you do need the TQ, and acceleration. The problem is spooling the Turbo, the EVO's is a 2.0, it's difficult to spool a biger turbo without being in high RPMs. The STI motor is a 25% larger 2.5L stock motor which is alot larger for spooling turbos. The EVO is the faster car, and it takes alot less work and money to achieve it.

Most suby's I see are less than 450 HP, due to them not being able to handle boost, as well where as most Evo's I run with are well over that, on stock motors. To compare the cars to one type of event is unfair, the Evo's smoke the Suby's in drag racing! The Evo sucks at Xing. I like them both, It's a prefrence thing, the never ending battle.

My Wife Owned a 06 Blue STI, we called it the Blubaru, she put something like 36,000 miles on it in a year, and a half. Traded it in for an 05 Evo which she enjoyed much more. We traded that in for an 08 EVO X but...........She drives our 07 Outlander, more than the other cars. So it leaves me with the IX , and X I can't complain!!!

Welcome to the main forum!! Your car looks nice! I Really enjoyed the sound the Suby made!!!

Im not a fan of the 8, the 9 is ok. I never seen my self driving a evo also I just couldn't get over the hump of trusting mitsu, but then I was offered a deal on an X that I couldn't pass up and I have never looked back at my decision! I just love the car and look forward to driving everyday! And I came from subaru also which is one main reason why I didn't see my self in a Mitsu. I had an 02 wrx 340ish flywheel hp just loved it also.

I love your ride. I've always loved the 06/07 model's.

FYI The tranny in your X MR is the weakest tranny EVER OFFERED in an Evo. These are Evos we are talking about, not Hondas, so hate to break it to you but the 4g63 has no problem making torque... oh, and the X still has ****ty interior just like like the VIII and IX, its nothing special. Back problems keeping you from shifting a manual tranny? REALLY?

Just as heated as the old vs new Subaru designs tend to get. but it does usually get pretty heated. It's all the new people though, it seems, most of the people that have been here a long time are just car enthusiasts, and understand that differences in opinion on liking certain aspects of a car can come up.

Anyway, from one Subie owner to another: Welcome to a Mitsubishi site, dedicated to the Evolution (and Lancers) Car looks good too btw!
