Dod you have a bigger version of that pic!? And you got it wrong, subaru > mitsubishi but Evo ~ STi
omg this thread got hijacked w/ the Old Evo vs New Evo argument, and on top of that you got subby people here flaming evo owners and vise versa...if this was in general it wouldve made 10 pages already and somebody wouldve popped a vein in their head getting angry hahaha

i've never been a big fan of mitsubishi. had a subaru and loved it. would've gotten a new sti if i could've gotten a transmission like the MR. im having back problems and shifting is getting harder for me. but the 8's and 9's can make so much horsepower but not much torque, they have weak drivetrains, ****ty interior's, perhaps there a little faster from the factory than a subie, but not if its modded... look at SCCA auto-xing results, STis dominate, yes evos are fast too but not very many of them

but I've heard that subbie trannies are glass, even the owners say the same, but my buddies just used that as a reason to upgrade to ppg gears, which i have to say are awesome
but its usually the driver that makes or breaks the car, to sum I love both subaru and mitsubishi, its impressive that both have so much r&d and engineering which makes them what they are, awesome cars

I make 301 Foot pounds at the wheels at 3800 RPM with an exhaust and a tune, and I have a street legal magnaflow cat.

Idk I believe there are plenty of threads on here that show evos make good torque if not great with horsepower, and my evo 8 tranny has lasted longer than all my subbie buddies trannies, although I have seen blown t cases on an evo due to high 6000+rpm launches, I've stuck with 5700rpm launches and its still goin strong (knock on wood lol)
but I've heard that subbie trannies are glass, even the owners say the same, but my buddies just used that as a reason to upgrade to ppg gears, which i have to say are awesome
