2008 MR bought it used with 11k on it...and when ppl drive behind me gettin off the on ramp to the highway ppl have been telling me i give off a little burning smell...and at higher speeds i got a smell....not when i braked or anything and i drive an MR so i have no control over the clutch or anything...seems to run great but just a concern...helpful advice would b great and appreciated

take it to the dealer thats what i would do

 

Maybe a little metal burning from the engine breaking in?

 

Could be the clutch? or the transfer case if your slipping the clutch to much etc... Take it to the dealer and tell them. They will fix it for you. (most likely metal from the engine being broken in because 11000 is still young.) of course the guy before you probably beat the hell outta it lol

 

Has the car been tuned. My car runs rich + smokes alittile at WOT.
