Break in exhaust before tuning?

I ordered a TBE recently that I'm hoping will come in pretty soon. I know that the tone of an exhaust changes quite a bit durring the first few hundred miles before they settle in and become consistant. I was planning on getting a dyno tune after installing the exhaust and was wondering if I should wait until it breaks in before getting the tune.

I'm just thinking that, if there is any difference in the exhaust between the time I install it and about 500 miles later, It might be smart to wait until it's more consistant to get my tune.

What do you think?

So you don't think it will make any difference?

I wouldnt worry about it. The exhaust isnt really changing, but rather carbon and other substances are slowly building up in the muffler and resonators slowly changing the sound.

Yeah, I knew that was what caused the sound to change, but didn't know if it would have any effect on the rate that the air was flowing out.

But I guess it doesn't. Thanks!

even if it did...you tune has a level of "give" in it...because more important things like ambient air temp, humidity, etc, have more of an affect on how your car runs...

your tune should be conservative enough to deal with the changes in weather, so im sure some extra carbon buildup wont hurt it
