Is this exhaust worth it?

Hi, I just bought an 06 Evo 9 SE and my first mod I was looking to do was an exhaust. I was originally looking at just a high quality cat back to keep the warranty but I went to my mitsu dealer and the mechanic there has his own evo and said he had a full turbo back with cat delete and test pipe for sale. He said it was 150 bucks which kind of worried me as most tb exhausts ive looked at have been like 700+ for a cheap one. He sent me some pictures and it looks like crap to me but I thought id get you guys opinion as the price is very appealing. Sorry for the crap images btw the guy took them on his iphone and emailed them to me.

Post the pics, if it looks bad I'd stay away with it IMO

I can't see the pics, but you have to think - an exhaust is really just a pile of steel tubes. How much can it honestly be used. Most people want new because of the look of it being all shiny and stuff, but if you can get over that you may just have lucked into a good deal.

I wouldn't put some piece of junk on my car if for no other reason than making my car look bad. I prefer quality products to cheap products.

Seems like the general thought is that it looks like crap and not worth it even for 150.
I kinda felt that way too, maybe ill let a couple more people share their thoughts before I tell the guy its a no go.

It only snows down here like once every seven years, so I don't have a clue what its like to have salt eat away at a car. So maybe that would be acceptable if you could somehow polish the muffler. That's really the only thing you're going to see. But it would be cool if you could somehow add that purple looking coating that Apex'i puts on their exhausts to the rest of the piping.

in most cases a 3" pipe is a 3" pipe

some save weight, some look nice, but used ones might be bent or have holes..

Best idea would be to go look at it in person, the pics don't tell the whole story.

tip looks kinda funny IMO

I think its needs to get cleaned up but it doesn't look bad. Its has held up to the salt on the roads in CO so it can't be TERRIBLE. IF you can personally go and take a look at it.
