Finally ...proud owner of EVO9
Finally ...proud owner of EVO9
After years of waiting and months of desperation I bought EVO9 from buddy that I met during my recent deployment. This is my first high performance car and I'm fairly new to "tuning scene". I've been soaking up knowledge from thread to thread but I just can't get enough of it!
I have some evo noob questions if I may...
1. According to my air force bud, I'm the 3rd owner of this EVO. He wasn't really interested in tuning this car so all he knew about this car was that it had after market intake, ACT heavy duty clutch, and Defi boost gauge.
Well once I received the car from him(he shipped from Nevada), I popped the hood and found unexpected knob... a Forge MBC and he had No Idea.
Before I decided to make a purchase he told me that the factory warranty was still valid. I know he has taken it to dealership several times for maintenance and checkup. Is it possible that dealer might not have noticed the MBC?? Should I remove it before they notice it? My goal was to keep it fairly stock and save some money until current warranty runs out then start tuning...
2. After finding MBC under the hood, I started looking into other parts such as exhaust and turbo and they seem to be stock however I just can't find the brand of intake. I'm including pictures to this thread and asking for help identifying it.
Thank you
