please help me find information on how to import an evo4 back to the US. If there is anyone that has the information can you please post it so i can get all the information. thank you all and for your help.

importing a car, especially if its right hand drive is hard to do. the shipping alone cost close to 5k and in most cases you have to hire a importing agent. You have to pass smog emission tests and if they dont pass you for whatever reason they will impound the car and try to auction it or they will crush it . I've heard of people registering imported cars as offroad vehicles but I don't know the exact details of that. All I know is that you have to go through a bunch of bull**** to do it. yeah, it's really not easy. I did a lot of research on Skylines a while back because my friend wanted to get one here.. some of the cars have to have different bumpers on them, glass has to be changed... it's a real PITA!

IF you are in the military by chance and moving back though I believe it's much much easier.

thanks for the info. i want to know what the cali info on importing and the smog info to ship so i can do the work on it while im in okinawa.
