Talk me into trading my S2k for an EVO

Okay so i have an S2000 and i love it when the time is right. However, more times than not, the time isnt right. I dont live on a tight mountain road and i dont live somewhere where i can have the top down 24/7 to really enjoy my money pit.

I do however live somewhere covered in gravel roads, gets tons of snow, really cold winters, really hot summers..and other so called miserable conditions to drive a tightly packed performance convertable.

I love modding, i hate that the s2000 doesnt react to engine mods very well unless i have 4k to drop on a turbo kit and even then, it just makes me spend more money on other things.

So i have come to the conclusion that i want an Evo...talk me into it. Im deployed right now so as soon as i get home, ill be looking for a dealership to let me trade in the S2000.

heres some pictures of my s2k...i will be returning it to stock for the trade in.

Talk me into it lol i need good solid reasons why an EVO is a great daily driver and replacement for my tiny S2000.

Oh and one of my biggest attentions to detail would be wheel fitment, i love a flush aggressive fit. Are there any EVO threads for aggressive fitments? I know i have seen STI threads..

I don't think you need us to convince you. The car should have already done it.

^^^HAHA! I don't think they want to be talked into it, I think they just want to hear people tell them what they already know.

Stock Evo + ~$4k in mods and I'm at 386whp and 356tq. Another $2k for a red and tubular exhaust and I'm hoping between 450 to 500 at the wheels. And you must realize there are all sorts of aggressive wheel fitments, including wide-body kits.

LOL, from my exp. I will tell you, I MISS MY IX SOOOO MUCH, and if it wasnt for the gas prices (when they were really rediculous) and me driving everyone around like a dummy i wouldve kept it but financially i couldnt then. The car is great! Handling, power, and one thing from exp. going from a honda to the EVO, TQ!!! youll love it. Especiallly when you upgrade to a
gt35 or better lol. I think you should research a little more, but should be no question. The s2 is also a fun car love that one to, but they are both in different categories so think and sleep on it for a long time.

You pretty much said everything there is to say. I even live in sunny Southern California where I don't necessarily need AWD but could use a drop-top, but I still have an Evo.

There's something about the combination of having overall performance exceeding most sports cars and a level of practicality that wins me over. It's nice to have high levels of grip and great acceleration from the factory, all while still getting more than reasonable gas mileage for the performance... personally, I've broken into the 27 mpg barrier on my bone-stock Evo IX SE (though my average-to-date is about 22.6 mpg), which is more than reasonable.

The S2000 is cool, but it has no ***** below 6000 rpm. Sure, it's fun when you've got an open road in front of you or a ton of curves, but not all of us are eager to have to constantly rev to rpms that cause our ears to bleed just to pass a slower car in front of us.

I actually get better mileage with all my upgrades+tune...as long as I'm not in on that tempting little batch known as the gas pedal!
