Steering wheel mod

I have the 8 (silver) steering wheel and was wondering if anyone have mod the silver part of it. Thinking of wrapping it in carbon fiber or painting it but not sure.

Never seen it before. It might look good, you should try it out.

I just might, I bought some CF fabric that I was going to wrap the AC trim with. I will post pics when I'm done with it.

You should try the new steering wheel delete mod.

I did the steering wheel delete mod, I kept hitting cars. Apparently people don't like that. I was thinking of getting it wrapped in Alcantera but I'm not sure if the big bulge on the top would make it look nice.

Hey Tangerine, are you wrapping it in CF like you were thinking or what?

I want to see it if you do.

I will, just in a middle of something involving another steering wheel that is delaying me. Alcantera feels so good against my hands but too bad I need to get a new one

thanks for the help! i am thinking of painting the metal portion flat black, similar to the 9 steering wheel. when i bought my car used, the guy who had it before me painted all the dash trim(even the dash vents and the door pull pockets!) pieces silver with clearcoat to match the exterior. i have since repainted it black, so i might do this to make the interior all black.
