I see some people with 20-30k in mods that could have gotten a 911 tt or similar. Anyone here regret it?

I'm not quite at the big balla $20k level (yet), but for me at the $5k level... Nope. I can't put car seats in the back of a two-seater and I am not afraid to beat the crap out of the car if needed, unlike a $50k Lotus I saw at autocross. The thing I like best about these cars is that they are relatively inexpensive to modify and can perform so many different tasks well.

you have to keep in mind this so called 20k you speak of is done over TIME. not all at once. so 1000 here 500 here etc so your orginal post is incorrect if you had the 20k you put in the evo straight up then NO you might be driving something else. In fact you can get a built evo for less then 20k easy. i know im well under that amount and will have a built 2.3 with all the fixings when im done in january way under cost

I rather buy a car for 25k + 20k in mods than have a 45k with no mods. Modding is what makes a car one's own distinguishing it from others.
