Is denso the factoy replacement for the front 02 sensor? If so does anyone know the part number? Where do you guys get your front 02 sensor from? I blew mine out and was wondering if there was a cheaper place to get it other then factory? $300 is kinda insane for a front 02.

Just get a universal 4-wire Bosch sensor, they're ~$50 at most auto parts stores and wire in very easily.

Evo8 and Evo9 are different. Have you used the universal bosch 02 sensor?

I have used the bosch universal and have had no issues

 

+1 on oxygensensors.com with the universal Bosch sensor. Had no issues when I replaced it on my old 8. I don't think there is a difference between the 9's, but I could be wrong.

 

I've personally wired the same universal 4-wire Bosch into both VIII's and IX's and all have worked perfectly.

I got my OEM replacement for pretty cheap ~$100. PnP no issues.

 

I've used the bosch universal for the 2nd O2 sensor. Me personally I would only use a OEM one for the front. But then again I don't like taking chances

I bought my front o2 sensor from that site for $60 , direct fitment and everything. The sensor does say it's for a Evo 8 , but it worked perfectly fine in my IX .

 

03/04 -05/06 r diff sensors.
