i just picked up a 03 evo with 30k on it for 16k and it has sunroof and factory hids and the factory gauges. now someone told me that my car should have leather int.. but i have the recaro blue seats. now i love my seats (i hate leather) but i just wanted to know if that was true and the p.o. took the leather seats out..
thanks, Michael

The SSL Model stands for Sun/Sound/Leather...it was available as a special edition in 2005. Your 03 simply has the sunroof option, which was available in 03.
No, your Evo8 would not come with leathers from the factory, unless it was an 2005 SSL.

Have you actually laid *** in a recaro leather seat before?
Much nicer than the stock VIII seats (I know as I used to have a RR VIII with the same everything you mentioned non SSL - now I gots an IX SE....definitely a step up in the world of seating for sure
I personally have never sat in the Recaro Leathers before...they still grip you nice? One thing I like about the blue recaro's is that even when its cold out, the seats will still feel warm. I can't STAND when you get in the car to sit on rock hard cold leather.
Edit: Just realized he said he had the blue seats which were the only seats in the 03. 04 you could get leather

As an average size guy the leather seats feel smaller to me, like there's more padding that hugs you where as the cloth ones don't feel as cushioned. I think they are more comfortable for daily driving, but if you're pushing the car I'd rather have the cloth.

true and here in texas things can get pretty hot so mid summer you get back to your car and the leather is cooking your back when you get in it from work/school
