how much whp can you get with a tune?

i hear people that get tunes with very few bolt ons get right around 300.... my buddy did a mail in by dyno flash and i had a custom tune by someone in town and we have the same mods and mine puts down way more... we ran them (on a track) and it was not even close. Neither of us have dyno'ed but my tuner has a program where it logs all the speed and everything and he puts in the average weight and weather and altitude and it gives a rough whp within like 20 whp he said. i have intake, megan tbe w/ cat delete and thats it and i drop 354 whp give or take some? why can no one else get these numbers or even close to these numbers.... this car has no other mods 100% sure.... i bought it brand new!

Your history can me sum up with my testimony. I happend to have a mail in flash by Dynoflash on a Evo 9. I also have another Evo 9 custom flash(road tune), both cars with the same mods..

First of all, your dyno numbers are extremely high for a car with only a 3" TB air filter and a tune. As far is you vs your friend, well, Dynoflash uses a very generic tune base on a list of mods that you sent him, in top of that he is know to get a bit richer AFR in order to keep his safe tunes records.

My best explanation would be that your custom road/dyno tune swueezed a little bit power power than your friend, mostlikely your tune is leaner and more refine. Dynoflash offers an excellent mail-in flash but is a generic flash thus you would get a little more power on a road tune.

My custom tune Evo 9 gets the best gas mileage I ever got compared to the mail-in flash I got a few years ago, again, I can guess the mail in flashes are a little more raw and richer AFR mixtures.

i made 52whp and a lil over 40wtq over my baseline run. very conservative tune 93 octane minimal mods. really happy where the car is and how much faster it feels. retuning for a big fmic id1000's and e85 in the summer

i understand that dynoflash has to be super careful but we tuned my car for a whole weekend and it freaking rips. My boss has a 2006 GTO with a procharger and it put down 604 whp and i can barely beat him

I know it is a very aggresive tune but i feel that it is safe at 21 lbs of boost and a/f are from 10.6 to 11.2. He knows his stuff and has a 9 second evo he has done tunes for over 15 years
