Thank you very much. I'm loving driving the car every day.

Congrats on the Evo.. Haha reminds me of the day when I got my car. The dealership had my soon to be evo and a blue sti parked next to each other. After driving both I couldn't pass up the evo. I just fell in love with it

Unhappy Downgrade

So I just sold my 2006 EVO IX MR with only 12k miles on it a week ago and bought a 2004 EVO VIII with the sound, sunroof & leather package. Only 42k miles, very well documented service history and bought from the original owner. Bit of a down grade from my MR but I needed to pay off some bills so I had to do it.

I must say though the power of the Evo is addictive and is the one thing the S2k lacked.

Agreed! well its still an EVO lol, I to hold the s2k quite highly among cars, The Subbie is some what of a Brute if i may say it lacks the finness of the Mitsu but a worthy opponent none the less. Best of luck with the family u have an exellent automobile in which to haul them.

good choice op. i had a 2007 sti myself. i liked how the car looked and sounded, but it just felt like a cadillac through the twisties. i got an evo and havent looked back.

I just came form an 07 STi and all I can say is they are both great. I do miss my STi but my STi was set up good with just some basic mods. It had stage 2 power (accessport turboback and k&n drop in) stage 2 supsension (25mm front and rear swaybars, springs, endlinks, front and rear strut braces). With this setup it outperformed most cars. Handling -my sti felt more planted through corners where my evo just wants to oversteer. STi just has lots of torque and I like the idea of the transmission being pretty much bullet proof, but the evo is cheaper to mod and easier to work on. I only switched because the evo has more room in the rear for my son.
