I sold my Honda S2000 a couple of weeks ago and got in the market for the (06-07) Subaru STI. It was a car I had wanted for some time and finally had the opportunity to buy one. I went and test drove a few of them and for some reason it didn't impress me like I had thought it would. The blue interior just threw me off, it didn't perform as I had expected and just didn't like the drive. I was left wondering what to do next when I started looking at Evo's especially the MR and figured I would consider the car. The first MR (2006) I drove which was 4 days ago I fell in love with and bought the car on the spot. It didn't hurt that the car only had 10,000 miles, being sold by the original owner and it looked as if it had just left the factory. So I guess you can say I ended buying the MR by random circumstances and I couldn't be happier.

Thank you guys. I am looking forward to learning more about the car. To be honest I really hadn't done much research on the car when I bought it. All I knew is that it was similar to the STI as far as the layout, drivetrain and power.

 

Nice pick up bro..I was on the same boat man...i actually went to south coast subaru to test drive a 06 STI, the car appereantly had a funny idle...and backed off from it, then went to south coast mitsubishi and ended up buying an 05 Evo 8 no regrets so far! enjoy the car! btw where about in LA?

lol i did the the same exact thing. wanted the sti for some time, saw them both at the same dealership for about the same price. drove off in the evo.

 

Nice, I recently sold my S2000 and picked up an 03 WW Evo. Its a completely different car though i still miss mine sometimes.

 

haha, I was literally on my way to subaru to pick up on 06 sti and saw the triple diamond so decided, eh, wth, i'll check it out. Drove home after 2 hours in my evo mR and never looked back
