Simer down now..... If doing some more reading and research.... I am going with the black.

*****LAG IS NOT A PROBLEM*****

Thanks RockmanX, been lookin at that build thread, good stuff man

I look at the bbk, I plan on getting a 2.3l engine in the future and really add some hp...BBK just doesnt seem like a long term turbo.

actually according to Blouch who manufactures the BBK, out of the 300+ BBKs sold, only 4 have failed, and that was due to mis install or driver error. So yea, i'd have to disagree and say it is indeed a long term turbo. I've heard a bunch of stories of ppl who's FP's failed, so I dunno. I like my BBK, it was a low $$ investment and I picked up tons of power and tq.

if u want to have 450-500whp on pump gas and stock engine, get a good turbo kit with a 6262 or 6765 pte turbo. you not going to be happy with fpblack, trust me. You can run less boost with bigger turbo and still get great number and safer.

I have to suggest a t3 kit with a hta86 or a 6262. We just put James car down the track at 10.2@138 with our FF 3582 kit on stock motor and pump gas! Also just did Chris's car with a red and e85 stock motor went 10.2@140. Both work well all depends on you.

Sup rockman, sup everybody. I'm really blown away nobody has mentioned the twinscroll hta35r kit from ets or buschur. That turbo is silly and improved boost over 35r, safer and will get u to where u need and possibly etc. The down side is price. if money is an issue, the black is cheaper than the twinscroll kit. You have to remember, to get the great power out of fp black, rev it up but to be safe, you should do springs and retainers and im shocked nobody mentioned the rod bolts! springs and retainers, injectors, cams, rodbolts, black, tune and you're golden! unless you already have headtstuds, get those as well

sup not worth it dude. the black will do everything he requires make massive power 700+ been proven run 9s been proven nice spool. no reason to spend 5k on a kit unless you plan on a 750+ monster evo. at that point its not a street car anymore hommie LOL its a trackster. he already stated he is going to do all basic bolt on like most people and later on get a 2.3 shorty so he is golden no need in 35r plus turbos anymore to make 500-650 the stock frame class is taking over what he needs to get is a nice tubular manifold how about mona lisa LOL

(yes i know shameless plug)

sorry you misunderstood my comment, FP Black will be a "long Term" turbo for me because I plan on building the motor and try and get around 550-600 or even 650-700 with the turbo.
