limp mode is pretty freaky, first time it happened to me it scared me sh*tless.

when youre running more boost than the stock system expects, it puts your car in limp mode(or in my case it did). with limp mode, it automatically shuts the throttle off and your rpms slowly decrease until it hits 2k rpms. even at a dead stop it sits at 2k until you restart your car. when youre on the freeway it sucks cause you keep pressing the gas to keep up with traffic but u have to pull over.

what mods you have, and do you already have a mbc?

stock psi varies. it varies per engine, varies due to weather, etc. but i think for most it varies in the low 20s. if you want more power, i dont suggest just turning up your mbc. this could potentially be dangerour to your engine. but if you still want to, 25 or 26 should both be fine. you really dont know til you try. for me, the only time i overboosted was in 5th gear around ~3200 rpms. not even WOT, but from slow acceleration. all about the boost loading, not actually using it

i think for the mods you have, i would skip on the mbc. i would just pop the boost pill, buy a cobb ap and run a stage 2 map. you will be shocked on how much power you gain, and the ap will auto set your boost at 26 psi

it could be the same, potentially better or worse. depends on the tuner. make sure they know what theyre doing.

26psi

25psi is just fine on stock motor on 91 octane with just a walbro 255lph. ..its all about the tune you can blow a motor on low boost with too much timing. skip the cobb ,,get a tactrix cable ,download ECU Flash and evoscan on your laptop and have a tuner tune it for you.. the stock turbo can be pushed to 28psi on e85 or race gas ..the stock motor internals will handle over 500hp 450lbft. with good tune on a high octane fuel.(95oct+)
i ran 26psi spike on my 8 with a 23 taper by redline with just tbe and 255walbro and tune ..on 91 octane california water..minimal knock and ran 12.2's@113 all day long dynoed 295 awhp and 302 lbft. at full function, with a 3400lbs weight with me inside that equates to about 380 crank hp. dyno numbers mean little.. what matters is your e.t. and trap.. in the real world ..i can have 500hp on one dyno and 400 on another yet still do the same e.t. and traps. dyno numbers mean little ..all that matters when tuning is that you gain over your baseline. i remember i ran another evo once when i had 295awhp and he was bragging about 400awhp with dyno sheets to prove it yet i walked him a good 2 cars on a roll..and when i hopped in his car it was noticeably slower then mine. like ppl on here that post up there 428awhp and run 11.9@117 ..i was running faster then that back when i had 358 awhp. Just remember dyno numbers vary greatly
