Question Improve MPG...

I was wondering if anybody was willing to give me their 2 cents..
by telling me what are the best ways to improve mpg, mod-wise.
Or, refer me to a thread that explains that well with the functions of the mods, such as the fuel pump & injectors.. - from what i've heard some say so far..

-thanks

Remove catalytic converter.

Tune car:
-Lean out to target a/f to 15.2 area for non boost driving under 3k rpms (to be on the safe side)
-Adjust timing advance

I have not done this to the Evo. But in theory it should work. Saving up right now to have it done.

The reason I say to remove the catalytic converter is because the 14.7 target a/f ratio set standard is to keep the cat in a working operating temperature. Changing that might ruin affect its converting efficiency and or ruin it over time.

Also removing rotational unsprung weight might help as well.

Everyone is right a tune will help... if you are really worried about it get a Cobb Accessport and switch the map to fuel economy when you are not ripping it.

lower friction tires also help. bigger turbo has helped me too, at least when I'm not flogging it. Supposedly removing the wing helps, but I never saw it.

I'm not worried about the mpg at all actually.
I had a wrx and that thing loved gas like a little kid loves candy.
but i loved her, so i didnt care about the mpg.
same thing in this case. I was just curious if there was a way to improve, because i've heard ppl say that fuel rail helps, aftermarket fuel pump, injectors... so i was just trying to clear things up a bit.
