Factory two step?

Ok so i could have sworn i seen i thread awhile back about evo's having a 2 step from factory, but i kinda forgot what it said and tried searching but no luck. I have a 04 evo RS with basic bolt ons.. So i guess my question is do evo's have a factory 2 step? If so when does it engage? Do you have to be full throttle? Any other info on it would be great Thanks!!!!!

Put it in 1st gear with the clutch all the way to to floor and push the gas all the way to the floor. The "2 step" should kick in at a stock setting of 5000rpm.

reason i asked is last night i was bored and tried it, clutch down, full throttle and it just banged off the rev limiter at like 7200 rpm. it did build 12psi tho... i stopped because it didnt seem healthy for my car

The car will not engage the "2 step" unless you are at a complete stop as well.

2004s do not have a 2 step..only 2005 and 2006 Evos have it.

I am 100% positive.

I believe with a tune you may have one added. And OEM 2 step is 5k rpms.

You are correct. A swap to tephra v7 will do it.
