EVO 8 MR to EVO 9 MR

Well i just wrote a HUGE post and for some reason lost it ALL when i went to post it! It gave me an error and than it was all gone!

So now i am going to shorten it up quite a bit!

Currently i have an EVO 9 MR and i love it. Its a low mile mint condition car! But i REALLY want to build a car! Motor and all! 4G64 Mivec head and every thing else!

So what i am wondering is what are the differences between the 8 MR and the 9 MR! I like the look so i would want to make the MR look exactly like the 9 MR! And was also wondering what the power and driveline differences were! Altho most of them will prolly be upgraded anyways i still would like to compile a list of everything you would have to do to an 8 MR to make it a 9 MR (of course other than making the car a year newer lol cause if you can do that you would be a rich man!)

Thanks, Trever

I thought you already had a IX MR?

To answer your question, the differences between VIII MR and IX MR are the same as any 05 VIII and a IX - MIVEC, added cooling passages, revised turbo, ECU, seats, steering wheel, exterior/interior trim.

i do have an EVO 9 now! But i think its to pristine to do all the mods i wanna do to it! Does the Evo 8 MR have an ACD like the Evo 9 MR? and would the ACD be beneficial in auto-X or not so much? where would it be beneficial and where would it lack?

I don't have any auto-x experience, but a USDM Evo VIII MR does have ACD.
