I dont think you need a new one now either but thats a pretty good idea.. Buy it while you can and install it when you need to
Exedy stage 1 organic. It's what I got, it's easy peasy driving daily. Did you say you're stock? That clutch can handle up to 350hp 400lb trq i believe.. Other than that try a exedy twin if you have more ponies.
Yes, go with the stock clutch for street use. Less headache. There is nothing wrong bringing the Evo to a reputable dealer to have the repair done right. plus one year warranty versus who knows what. My friend just did a clutch on an Evo 8 less than 7hrs.
I agree with above poster...buy clutch now, find a tuner shop that is close and reputable, wait till its slipping and get it done.
Ok, welcome to the ownership of an Evo...NOTHING is CHEAP! Unless it is garbage. Clutch job should cost you about $600 from reputable tuner. Clutch/flywheel is going to run about $500 if your running stock to lightly modded. You don't want an Ebay clutch or any other part for that matter. Do your research via the search button and make an educated decision on which clutch to buy. You either want an Exedy or an ACT.
