blahh he chicked out! i figured he would. now he's talking crap saying he's going to smoke me on his motorcycle. it's a bandit 1200, not even a sportbike! he insists that his front end has to be strapped though. this guy is full of excuses. i say come as you are. only posers need slicks and straps, etc. what a clown

So your going to complain if I tighten down a front end strap on a standard bike, with almost 35k miles, with a 30+ year old engine design? And I'm the chicken?

Hey Look , I found a pic of Kdiggz online!

The funny thing is a 2004 wrx isn't even in the same league as a new 2009+ Wrx, let alone an Evo.

Not that I doubt this, but can your provide some facts / figures? Have you raced your '09 wrx vs a modified 04 wrx such as mine on a road course?

he doesn't need to. magazines have done it. your car is very lightly modded. the few mods you have aren't going to perform miracles.

i believe u have cobb ap stage 2, turbo back, intake, koni struts, sti springs, 24mm sways. that isn't too far from stock. i think that MIGHT make u keep up with a STOCK 09 wrx. an evo...forget about it. but what r the chances u r going to run into a stock car of either? most have at least the kinds of mods u have if not more so its a wash

Wrong again. And you smell like old sausage.

Show me one magazine that compared a wrx with my mods vs any car. How do you know how much my mods mean? Do you drive my car on a daily basis? Have you raced it on a track? I didnt think so! All this "not in the same realm" talk is ridiculous, I dont think anyone here has actually got any experience comparing the effects of these mods on a WRX vs the other cars we're talking about here. If you drop a few more parts onto my wrx, it basically IS an STI except for the 6 speed and limited slip front diff, and brakes. But the point is I see no reason why a modded WRX couldnt keep up with any of those cars at stage 1 or stage 2 if it was set up for the track properly with the right mods. A car is just the sum of its parts. Upgrade all the parts and its a different car, IMO. Cant compare 'stock' numbers to a modded car..

^^^

well i can compare, i own subaru, i own a evo, and i am friends with other subaru/evo's guys and have driven them all.

Evo's outperform wrx/sti's by alot, big big difference.

Springs and the other mods u have barely do anything, many times spring actually make the car handle WORSTE.

With a nice set of coilovers that have been set up properly then a wrx can handle as well as a evo, but not with just some springs, sways, and struts.

Please define what "a few more parts" means to you, because there is still a lot that differentiates the STI from a WRX on top of the three things you mentioned... for example, while theoretically you could achieve similar peak hp and torque in a WRX without too much trouble (though it's not exactly a $100 mod away from doing so), the DCCD (compared to the viscous center LSD of the WRX), the mechanical rear LSD (compared to the viscous rear LSD of the WRX) and the suspension still accumulate for much of the difference. You're not going to swap the differentials for pocket change (and there's even more money to pay in labor), and even swapping out the stock WRX suspension for something more comparable won't be cheap either.

And even if you do get a WRX to perform within arm's reach of an STI, there's still some ground to cover to get to an Evo. You can call me biased, but I've driven numerous examples of both cars. I might not own a WRX, but it doesn't take ownership to realize how huge of a difference there is between the cars.

By the way, I thought you said you weren't going to check this thread anymore?
