So you're telling me that mitsu has all these evos out in the world with six speeds and they're all crap? Can some of this be the whole rota cracked wheel effect? I already pretty much have my mind made up it's just a matter of when. I just don't think it's going to be a problem for me because I don't race or ever plan go after mad power.

Instead of flying off the handle not knowing what you're talking about, consider reading the thread I referred to. The transmissions can and do fail, given a specific set of circumstances. It's not necessarily a matter of "how you take care of your ish," as you asserted.

Great, enjoy the 6-speed.

i have a 6 speed and i love it, but that doesnt change the facts that they are weaker and do fail

I concur!

And any transmission can and will fail, given a specific set of circumstances. That's why they call it a specific set of circumstances.

I'm not flying off the handle, I just know what I want out of my six speed when I get it and I will enjoy it thank you.

I may be wrong but aren't the majority of overseas evos six speeds? Maybe if some out of country owners can chime in on the subject. I feel the point of view here is a little slanted. Unless the overseas evo 6 speed Trannys are completely different.

+123...i love my 6 speed. yes my motor is basically stock, but i plan on keeping it that way. shifts like butter and highway driving is practical. it all depends on what motives you have.

I love my IX MR 6 spd too! DD 2.3L stroker on an FP Red... 495 tq and 515 hp. Fingers crossed until Shep releases the 6 spd upgraded tranny option. However, 40,000 miles with no issues. About 5k with the 2.3L and still shifts like butter

I have a 5 speed, will never have an Evo with 6 speeds and I read these posts just to be more knowledgeable. Thinking of 6 speed? Read these.

Now say thank you to the nice man that did the leg work and put all these links in one post.
