Wanting to buy an evo 8. how many miles is too many?
Hey Everyone
i am new to this forum and am wanting to buy an evo 8 or 9. the particular car i am looking at has 63000 miles on it and these mods
Turbo XS Intercooler
PWR Radiator
Cobb Accessport
Intake & Upper intercooler piping
HKS BOV
Megan Racing full TBE
Apexi Boost controller
Walbro fuel pump
the owner said it made about 315WHP
the owner told me it has the stock clutch in it. i am just wondering how long the drivetrain and engine will last at this power level, also after how long would you need to and how expensive would it be to rebuild the engine? would any of you buy an evo with over 60K+ miles on it?
some of you guys with high mileage evos what kinds of problems have you had?
I would really appreciate some input on this matter

My evo has 85k miles on it and the only problem Ive had in the last 16k miles since i bought it was replacing the stock clutch and ignition. High miles on an Evo is around 150k lol Ive seen stock block no engine mod evo's at 200k mile running fine. But it really does depend on how hard the Evo was driven
If it drives rough and feels loose and broken in, 60k miles might have been 60 HARD driven miles.. Feel the car, if its strong, 60k is nothing..

60kis not bad. especially if its an 03. I've heard the stock clutch is really weak especially after being launched a few times. I'm at 85k and still on stock clutch (replaced stock clutch with aother stock clutch) after launching it over 10 times. The engine will be perfectly fine.
