Someone posted about swaping a rb26dett into his evo but I feel that the person didn't get a answer before people started to troll the thread just cause he wanted to do it. So what, it might not be the best choice but maybe thee person wanted to do something that's outside the box and not normal modding. So why troll, give a good opinion n not bash on ideas cause no one likes people bashing, hating on their ideas.

How far forward the engine is placed would make a big difference in weight balance.

probably cause hes not actually gonna attempt the swap. Its one thing if he has been doing the research and is in the process of bolting it up. Even then I wouldnt think its worth it, but I would give him credit for the work required. Go to any other car forum, evo, mr2, honda,etc etc.. and you will find these guys posting that same question-- "has anyone thought of swapping an RB26?"
Another popular question in car forums is swapping an LSx into their cars.
Well one guy did to an evo, like stated earlier I guess it wasnt too great, but at least he did it and not just TALKED about it.

 

Anything is possible with enough money. Although I would not do it, nor recommend it, I would love to see someone else use their money and attempt it. Like the guy that put that vette motor in the Evo, I wouldn't do it but hey, its his money. I like to see him spend it on a project he envisioned. Better him than me.

 

I think the Evo is one car that engine swaps should not be done. in my opinion being that Mitsubishi only has the one engine that is badass and that nothing else could replace that, plus who would want to. good luck to those that do, but I just don't see the point in spending the money to do so.
