New DSM guy with an Evo X

I recently purchased a Rally Red 2008 EVO X GSR with the SSL package. Im loving the car so far. Ill post some pics when I get the chance. My current list of cars are: 06 Pontiac GTO, 06 Subaru WRX, a 96 Eagle Talon TSi AWD (Holset HX35 and all supporting mods)(For sale), a 03 Dodge Dakota R/T, and my 59 VW bug that Im restoring. The Evo will replace the Talon as my daily driver/fun weekend/track car. Im hoping to start doing more auto-x and road course with the Evo. The talon's best time was 12.7@108 in Fontana on pump gas and 20 psi on a 50trim. I hate to sell the Talon, but 6 cars is riduculous. haha. Im looking forward to learning more about he 4B11 and the Evo, though I dont have many plans for it because I dont want it to get to the level the talon is at. I just want something fun and quick to drive that sees occasional track/auto x use. No drag strips for this car though. My name is Mike. I think that about covers it!

nice collection of rigs Mike... filter, mbc, exhaust and tune and you'll go from 225awhp area to 300awhp area and the car will be in the 12's

Right now the Evo has an AEM intake, a QTP cut out, and a tune from RRE. Its currently at 339 AWHP.. That should be plenty on this car for road course work. I dont want it to be like the talon. Just quick, fun to drive through the canyons, and a good daily driver. Ill post some pics when I get a chance

nice, that will make for a very fun car. I was pretty disappointed when I first drove my local friend Brad's new X, but after the basic mods I said "now THIS is an EVO"

I agree! now hopefully I can get this notchy, long throw transmission figured out! haha. I hope a short shifter and some shifter bushings will help.
