What does DSM stand for?
Hey all,
I'm sure I'll be like "ohhhh yeah", but I keep seeing DSM poping up all over the place in here as a reference to a type of car like JDM ex: "use this bodyshop because they have experience working with DSM's". I'm sure it's a reference like JDM, but don't understand how it can be referenced to the EVO? Thanks ahead of time!

DSM is diamond star motors. It is how mitsubishi got started out. The 4G63 powerplant under your hood has been in cars for over 10 years thats why people refer you to DSM "gods" or people who have alot of experience with older mitsubishi's.

that really helped! I have a sponsor from my last car and current club that has built 2 of the highest horse power Eclipse's in US and have heard him refered to as a DSM expert a long time ago, but now was interested, after seeing on many threads about EVO's and didn't want to look like idiot when approaching him.
