Evo 9 Towing Capacity?

What is the towing capacity of an Evo 9? I've been thinking about using it to tow a pair of jetskis on occasion since I don't have a truck. The jetskis are pretty light, probably not more than 1500lbs for both skis and the trailer.

I know I've seen ball hitches on Evos before, but usually just towing a tire trailer.

Dammit, really? I don't actually have an Evo yet, trying to find one, but this is one of the reasons I was hoping to get one...

Is there a .pdf of the manual anywhere online?

Sure you can tow with an Evo, I (and many others) did it for a couple years with a small HF trailer for race tires without issue.....a better question would how much weight can you safely tow without causing too much strain or damage to the drivetrain.....

There is a section in maintenance that outlines what types of usage for the car and the maintenance intervals. Under severe usage - towing is indicated. They even show a cartoon of a police evo towing something.

fabbing a hitch to hold 1500 lbs will be a problem. the tongue weight from my hitch mounted bike rack was to much with two super expensive race bikes. after 5 miles it had bent down till the tires of the bikes were hitting the ground. unless you seriously beef it up i doubt you;ll be able to pull a couple jet skis

with that said, with a tow rope around the rear trailing arm, i've pulled another evo with mine for a mile

Eh, fabbing up a mount and/or reinforcing the mounting point is no problem at all. The tongue weight of the jetski trailer is damn near neutral; it is very well balanced.

Lol, probably not supposed to install a bigger turbo, exhaust, tune and make insane numbers with it either but people do all day long everyday.
