While you're replacing the clutch, you might as well get an Exedy Stage 1 or something like that for your future mods
I will admit that it was driven fast off the line, but I am no drag racer. People ask me "how fast it is?" I ask them "with me driving or someone that knows how to drag race?". I like to Road Race, I don't street race, I have never been to the drag strip, to me its no fun if you don't have to slow down and turn.I do think the dealer beat on it before I got it, car had 12 miles on the odo off the lot. I have driven a manual since my first car, so don't blame it on I don't know how to drive it either. When the car was dyno tuned after the clutch replacement it was only making 296whp 256wtq, if yours slipped after that amount of time what would you think? I said "there were some that got less then me some a lot more miles then me", if you don't like my opinion, fine, just state your experience and move on. I don't care how many miles you got out of yours, I still feel that the $600 in labor to replace the clutch warrants replacement with a better aftermarket alternative that would most likely last longer than the stock version. At 47k miles and your power level I hope you have a replacement handy.

DONT GET A ACT Clutch Ive had one on my car for 30k-40k and now my car lives its life on jackstands! After dropping over a grand on the HDSS and the ACT street lite fly wheel and then shelling out anouther 675 to have it installed, the throw out bearing went out. So now I have to eather pay to have my ACT rebuilt all over again when it should have been good in the first place. SO instead Im just going to get an Exedy clutch and flywheel now and throw my HDSS in the garbage.

I hear that A LOT about ACT in general. What kind of Exedy clutch/flywheel are you going to get.

stfu with all that ignorance. it was installed wrong, or you just got one of the bad ones **** happens. ACT is a great clutch. I got a ****ty EXEDY clutch and had nothing but issues with it. i replaced it with the ACT and couldn't be happier with the time i had on that clutch.

does that mean no one should ever buy an EXEDY clutch ever again? no. ACT is a great clutch, so stfu and stop spreading retarded information.

you made a thread already stating this exact same thing. TONS of people use ACT HDSS including me and have no problems whatsoever. chilllllll out man geez 40k for a clutch is not that bad depending on how you drive.

Sure wish they had a search feature on this forum, but then again this is the first I've read anything about a clutch.
