HILLARIOUS!!!! I love reading posts like "why not?" and "if he is responsible go for it". Pure comedy. For the future children on this forum if you want real feed back about evos think twice before stating your age!!!

If he didn't start by saying he was 17, nobody would have even looked twice at this thread, It would just be another person that doesn't know how to use the internet to search for a car.

i got my evo bone stock at the age of 17 and now have a 500whp evo x at 18. i have wasted so much money on this car, and i am so over my head. if i could do it again iwould get a 03-04 cobra or a dsm and then trade up. wait till your older. seriously, its not the speed its more of the learning curve. it happens really fast with an evo. always checking your oil, buying tires, buying oil, brakes and pads and when **** breaks (your a kid your gonna think your hella cool with your 2 step then launch it and **** something up) it adds up. cop attention isnt fun at all, the car is under my dads name and the insurance is still retarded. the gas is terrable too.

maybe i should get a different car..........

Clutch jobs will take away all your part-time job money trust me. My brother is 17 and he has an 8, my dad has had to bail him out twice because he destroyed his clutch. Save up, buy it cash and use your income to fix it when it breaks and to pay for insurance.

or you can get an late 80's 928 porsche automatic. if your lucky you could get one for 3k and completely rebuild it on the inside with chevy parts which would haul *** and be cheaper to repair for about 10k. i was thinking about doing this.

or if you have the money buy an evo, keep it stock till above mentioned post, and do little things to it, i do believe the guys on the forum hav emade an awesome thread, to mod your evo 100 bucks at a time. if you can financially do it why the hell not do it. just dont be an idiot, your just around my age, so your driving speaks for me too, dont mess it up.

I feel that this site with benefit me a lot! :d
95% of replies in this thread didn't address the OP's questions. The OP is aking where can he find an Evo IX SE (he should search) and if its worth it to get it stock (which is very rare) and tune it himself. He is NOT asking whether at 17 he should buy or not. He has already decided to buy so he's ready to face the consequences. Why not tell teenagers not to join the army?

you can look for one in the car for sale section in this forums. my only advice to you is be responsible and not drive like a deusch when you get your evo. the car doesnt know the age of the driver. age doesnt matter in deusch driving. a deushbag driver will always be a deuschbag driver.

Why, of course. Get a learner's permit, then a driver's license, then a world class performance automobile. Everyone is born with the skill to handle such a machine. Great point.

ALL teenagers drive stupidly. They just don't realize how stupid they were until they are no longer teenagers. He's going to do something stupid, that's just the way it is. everyone would rather see him do it in a less powerful car, that's all.

Calling someone dumb, while making grammatical errors within a span of three words, isn't doing much for your position.

Very real point of view for potential younger Evo owners. You might be able to afford the car payment, but once you factor in the insurance, gas and routine maintenance(tires, oil changes, transmission and t-case fluid, clutch) you are quickly living outside of your means.
