Anyone switch from a Corvette to a Evo or the other way around? I just wanted to know how do they compare and which one is more FUN to drive.

Only comparing C5 and C6 vettes and the Evo 8,9.

Thanks

Well I haven't made the switch yet but.....I own a 06 Evo RS and my brother has
an 03 Z06 TT Vette. His car on the stock block has been running on 93 oct with meth injection for several years and has run 9.70's at over 140 mph. His block just recently vented. Mine vented last year and has been recently replaced with a 4G64 block. Both cars are very fun cars. Although my Evo is down on power to the Vette it is more admirable in the handling and braking department. In a true HP war the Evo would never win due to its lack of displacement, but in bang for the buck catagory it competes very well. In the long run it will come down to what kind of car are you looking for.

Im not planning to make the switch because I am going to own 2 pit bulls so I will be needing the back seats.

Just wanted to make a comparison because the C6 is a lot of car for the money.

Yeah the C6 is nice, its nothing like the Evo, you can decide if thats a good thing or bad thing. Evo is a awd confidence inspiring monster, the Vette is more like "HOLY ****" at its limits if you're not very experienced with it.

I have a good amount of seat time in a c6z, and let me tell you its a very well performing car. However, in most situations on the street, the Evo will be the better handling car. The Z gets very sketchy on many surfaces that are not perfect, very easy to make errors at the limits, especially on the street. In a perfect world, it would take alot for the Evo to keep up with the Z...Just some thoughts
