06 evo 9 mr

Just bought a evo 9 mr a few months back and it has a few mods done already and have a few questions. It has injen intake, injen lower & upper intercooler piping, manual boost controller, aftermarket intercooler and perrin full tbe exhaust. I just put in a aem wideband gauge and boost gauge and noticed i was running 26 psi. my two step is set at 6,000 rpms. What i am asking is what should i do with the car? Should i get a tune to see where its at and if its knocking any because of the high psi on pump gas?

^^^ seems like you bought a car without to much research.

If you're worried about the tune;

a) take it to a reputable tuning shop
b) contact a tuner that does e-mail tunes ie: Boosted Tunning, Mellon Tuning, etc.. -then you can take some logs for them and they'd be able to help you out. Let you know how the tune is, etc.

First thing I did with mine that had a TBE, fuel pump, MBC and CAI when I bought it was take it to get a retune. Easily worth the peace of mind IMO.

Thanks I will check out the nearest tune shop to see what they say, for now i am just manually lowering the boost down to a 23 psi range.

You could send us a log of what the car is doing and we will give you a free evaluation.
