Hello, I'm looking into buying a Evo and not sure what the best year is. I'm looking into 2004-2007! I come from Subaru STi, I know the STi have great trans and crappy motors. What's the best year and trans combo? I have been looking for months before I came a member for low milage Evo that has never seen snow and comes from a state that don't snow, i just cant find one. I'm very crazy about my cars, I have 07 STi with 4,000 miles on the car and is flawless and looking for something similar for Evo. Looking for stock or built with LOW milage and in flawless condition.......

-evo9 enkie wheels
-evo9 tranny... has some shorter gears compared to the Evo8 tranny.
-evo9 headlight and tail lights
-Everything else is the same as the Base model 03'(even though there really wasnt an option)

06' SE Evo9
-Hyper Black BBS wheels
-suede and leather seats
Other then that its pretty much the same as a Base model 06'

06' Evo9 MR

-Everything else is pretty much the same as the 05' Evo 8 MR

Note-These are USDM spec Evo models and is just general information. Any comments, questions, etc let me know.

Thanks for the info, I'm guessing the MR is only auto?

EVO 7 GTA and EVO 9 wagon GTA are the only auto evos (excluding X), and I don't know if any made it to the states. Best engine and trans, evo 9 engine and 5 speed trans. 6 speed isn't bad, really good for daily driving, the 5 speed is just stronger and more reliable.

if you mean automatic trans, no evo has an auto trans.

None of the Ct9 Evos are automatic...

Ok, so 2006-2007 have 6 speed and the 2008 plus have padel shift? Did only the MR come in 6 speed?

dude u are confusing everyone and urself. Evo comes in three models: GSR, MR and RS.
GSR and RS are 5spd only and the MR's are 6spd only. there is no 2007 evos

2008 EVO X MR comes with semi automatic.

Yes, Only 05' MRs and 06' MRs come in 6speed.

08'+ MRs came with padel shifters(SST).
