Evo X GSR / IX MR
I agree, but there is a high demand for a reason. That's like a 2008 Mustang GT being worth more now that the 2011 is out. The new one is rated for more horsepower and is the current model, but I don't see anyone paying that much for the older model when the new one is clearly better. If the new Evo is clearly better why aren't they worth a lot more? Again, not saying it's bad, but I think the older one has more value and will hold it's value better for time to come. Just my $0.02 though.

I bought a IX MR brand new at the end of 05...put 180,000 miles on it, yes 180,000 miles. raced it every chance I got, and when I sold it I was pushing around 370whp. never had a single issue with the transmission. still shifted as smooth as the day I bought it when I sold it. the new owner is still loving the car. that said, wish i'd never sold it.
I sold it for a 2010 EVO X SE. Big big big mistake. Terrible seating position, blindspots everywhere, interior materials were crap (making the car a pain in the *** to keep clean), no trunk space, it just felt slow, and horrible gas mileage. the car also felt HUGE, and looked more like a honda accord than a race car. I traded it after 2 months for a BMW 335i and never looked back.
that said, I still missed my IX MR every day it was gone, so I found one with 60k miles on it, and bought it. Now I've got the 335i and the IX MR and you couldn't pay me to go back to an X.
