It has no sound deadening, and it does have ac. At least mind does. And if he has the wing and hid's wouldn't that make it a MR being those were the only ones back then that had the hid?

 

All RS' had AC. HIDs were stock in 03. IIRC, the big wing and the sunroof were optional. 05 was the first year for the MR. Isn't there a sticky (thread) listing all this?

There was no RS in 03, so you're good to go.

Correct. There were no GSR's in the US before the X. What people think "GSR's" are are just Evo 8's or 9's without a designated name for the trim.

Also correct. As far as I'm aware, there was also no SSL in 2004. Just like in 2003, you could order them in different packages. 03-04 all had HID's from the factory, but you could get it with the leather and sound, or the sunroof, or both.

2004 was the first year of the RS. Pretty sure most (if not all) had A/C. I've never seen one without A/C, just like I've never seen the "Urban Jungle Package" that was talked about.

2005 was the first year of the SSL package. If you don't get this package you do not have HID lights (same applies to the Evo 9).
