Hi my name is Amber
Ok well I know a little more than the typical noob! lol Ok so as far as keeping it on the street vs track.... for now I'm keeping it on the streets just to have a little fun with but slowly I want to build it for the track. I know these cars and make a 1000hp and how awesome would that be. Right now 1000hp is far too much bc I want to know this car by the back of my hand before I do a upgrade like that and bring it to a track. Thanks for the info on what a roll center kit does. I still have a ton to learn.

Transfer case death whine. You're probably just gonna wanna go ahead and ship it off to SHEP or TRE and have them rebuild it. Or else buy a new one! Then again I guess it depends on if you wanna race it, if not then you can probably do the rebuild at Brandon's shop. I believe it's the pinion and ring gear set in the t-case that causes it.
Ok thanks, I think Brandon and I will rebuild it. He says its a rather easy fix. So do you think I should try to get to 1000hp? I know thats a lot of power but I say why not!
oh well my cost to make it 1000hp wont be as bad as others bc I get cost on my parts. Ahhhh the pros of dating someone who owns a shop. lol

I knew your boyfriend owned a shop before posting. It helps to remain realistic.

^^I agree...What is all this 1000hp talk?? If you want 1000hp an evo is not the car for you...sell it & buy an 03-04 cobra & throw some type of turbo setup on it or buy a supra...Even with your bf getting parts at cost it will still take A LOT of $$ to make 1000hp in an evo...
ok well I'll make the call on if I can afford it! But thanks for the heads up. I don't plan on doing it all at once. It will be over a period of time. As far as buying a cobra, NO THANKS!
I think your optimum max power will be determined by a combination of available funds, tolerance of turbo lag, tolerance of NVH and the amount of work you're willing to put in to mitigate the NVH.
I'm just a noob who's read a lot. you should read this place every day for a few months. one thing I do know is there are few people here who will warn you about the downsides of modding. everyone says do it. few tell you that you might not like the results. that cams and flywheel might make you hate your car. 440!? ****, you're already there, IMO. After that (assuming the lag is not bad) it's all about comfort, braking and handling, not necessarily in that order.
all just my ignorant opinion.

Depends on what you want to do with it, if road racing and Auto cross are your goal, you're good. If you want to go fast in a straight line but still DD, I know a lot who have 2 maps, one for racing and 1 for DD and their maps reach into the 700's - 800's and DD are in the 500s.
If you're wanting to set records and build a 1000 HP car, might as well forget about DD.
Edit: Also, I think 2 maps is the way to go, I got an E85 map and a 93oct map on a switch, DD with 93 and when I feel like I'm bored with the car, switch to E85 for a few days and all the sudden I am happy with it again, just some food for thought.
For more power I would do cams. GSC or kelfords just to name a few, A licp will help with spool and give you a few extra horses, if you don't already have one, and a switch to e85 would definitely yeild alot of gains, if it's available in your area.
Yea I do plan to add some cams. I'll look into the licp and I actually have E85 already.
