Im a Newbie on Evos

Hey, Im Brandon I just got into cars about a year ago, and i bought an oz rally... I got a promotion at my job ( from bus boy , to server ) so I can now afford the evo and im getting it. Only thing is I dont know that much about cars, so I bought a porsche 944 ( 1983 ) and started working on it.. I realized that it isnt helping me much... Changing the fuel pump, distributor rotor and cap, and the ignition coil is all fine and dandy, but thats just common sense taking the car apart and then putting it back the way i seen it. I still dont know alot about cars..

Whats the best way to learn? Any advice? Does anyone live in the New Jersey Toms River area??? If so hit me up we can do stuff together.

Just read dude. Magazines, forums, whatever. You arent going to find anyone that'll sit and tell you even the basics. I thought I knew a lot until I started reading forum threads. Thats also when I started actually READING magazines instead of just looking at the pictures.
Good luck with your promotion. Have you looked into insurance for the evo? I have a good job and bought a brand new 2011 Evo MR with my latest promotion. AND THEN I looked into insurance. It wouldnt have stopped my purchase but my rates tripled going from an 03 G35 to an 11 Evo. And then theres the price of gas...
Cheers
