Its quiet because you installed the cat back, get a cut out if you want it really loud.

Ok ya i get that i guess the question i was looking for is with a cat-back on now why would that affect the bov from a gunshot to a gay flutter? Back pressure affecting the boost??? It might possibly be a recirc ill have to look! it sucks

Isn't fluttering usually associated with compressor surge? I remember when I had my old SRT-4, if I went into part throttle boost (PTB), it'd flutter as a sign of compressor surge, which is really bad for the life of the turbo.

If you get a harder spring for the bov its gonna be harder to open, what kind of bov do you have(brand)vta or recir ? I had a Greddy type rs I tried tunning it many times with no success and after i bought my Tial Qr it went away almost completely. Compressor surge is normal, what you need to worry is surge at Wot.

Now to answear your Q, the exhaust is not gonna affect how the bov sounds maybe it was fluttering before but since the exhaust was louder cause you didnt have one you didnt noticed it, the only way you can hear the fluttering louder is if you have an intake conical filter. Backpressure can only affect turbo spool at a certain point.
