Another stupid question by me:

Hey whats up guys. So my question is not that important for a quick answer, but I would like to know what you guys do in certain situations. Alrighty then, how do you guys go about other cars trying to mess with you? Lets say you are spirited driving when a corolla, saturn, or cavalier tries to either pass you up or tail gate you. Most of us would just leave them in a dust, but what if you want to have some fun before you show them your is fast. What would you do? And what gear, speed, rpm should you be in order to have a quick response?

I am not asking so i could go out, and start to mess with other cars. I just want to know what is the best effective way to deal with these situations. It don't have to be just those cars i mentioned.

Lol i know its a dumb one, but hey i know it happens to all of us...

I slow down to at or just under the speed limit then laugh as they blow past.

Honestly, I don't bother. If they are driving those types of cars, they are probably just trying to get around you, not trying to prove that they are faster, unless it’s riced or modified. If they are driving those cars and do realize what you are driving, then they know they stand no chance, so why show off. They will probably just be happy if you spool the turbo up and let the BOV go off. Say you speed up and they are still tailing you pretty good, why would you want a Chevy Cavalier doing 90+ behind you and if you have to brake hard because of traffic or for whatever reason, guess who is going to be in your back seat.
Here is my view on showing off. I know in our heads we think we are some bad *** mother ****ers and all the girls want our dicks. But I would say 90% of people don’t give a **** and think you’re an *** for showing off. I first realized this from all the girls I drive around throughout college and past couple years, and all my cars in the past are of the sportier type and you know when other enthusiast show off in front of you. I would say 80% of the girls just flame on them, make some comment about them having to compensate for something, or “o you’re so cool…***”. I will always remember this time when I was driving the 87 GNX and terminator going the opposite way just hammered it by me and sounded sex. Of course I was jizzing in my pants and the girl next to me was not impressed and was just ragging on him. So the only people I bother playing with and showing off too is other enthusiasts because they are the only ones that appreciate it.

Eh turboed saturns can be pretty quick, so are the s/c cavaliers/cobalts/ions.

But yeah most of them are just trying to get around you if your doing at/under the speed limit. If some one wants to pass I try to let them. Nothing pisses me off more than the ********* that do 15 under and wait till you pass and kick it, then slow back down.

I had an issue with a turbo cummins diesel doing that to me a couple days before I left to go to the mob station, and I knew the road we where on went by the sheriffs office, so I just rang them, and told him what he was doing, and that we were about 3 miles out, they blue lighted the minute we go by, pulled him, I gladly got back up to the speed limit.

Yeah, I can't stand them. My rx-7 will slap out run most of them around here, but its got no torque, so it makes trying to pass the ones driven *******s unsafe. I have no torque/no lowend. If I am about 55, I have no problem dropping to 3rd and kicking it,

But 40, in 3rd is pretty bad for pickup, and I'd rather not drop to 2nd.

I'd be rich as well. I think with enough money to do another setup. It does get annoying I know we should not get down to their level, but they have to learn someway. And, no its not just people trying to pass by its immatures trying to be all fast and the furious. Either way I can control myself to just let them do what they do best...I sometimes even pull over put my emergency lights and let them pass me. Only when its a one lane, when its two lanes I just switch lanes. Its funny though because what makes them think their car is fast I mean does it even pull when at full throttle
